Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education

Personal, Social, Health and Emotional Education (PSHE) is a pivotal subject through which pupils acquire the knowledge, understanding, skills, and strategies essential for maintaining their health and safety. At Shustoke, we implement the PSHE curriculum through the SCARF PSHE programme, which meets the statutory requirements for Relationships and Health Education as stipulated by the Department for Education in 2020. This programme interlinks British Values and promotes Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural development (SMSC). Furthermore, we supplement our curriculum with the Protective Behaviours programme to enhance safety awareness and resilience. Our aim is to empower pupils to make informed choices regarding their well-being and safety.
