Collective Worship

Collective worship takes place daily at our school. Acts of worship are explicitly Christian as is required of Church of England schools, however, other faiths and cultures are also celebrated. Acts of worship follow the school values cycle as shown below with one value focussed on each week. Daily acts of worship are as follows:

Monday: Whole school Christian worship based on our values and on a Bible theme.

Tuesday: Whole school Christian worship based on our values and on a Bible theme.

Wednesday:  Christian Worship Led by Reverend Mark every other week based on our values and on a Bible theme.

Thursday: Celebration assembly.  Each week two children from each class are celebrated, one of these is linked to our current value.  Children are also celebrated for being courteous through the week.

Friday: Class based worship based on Bible theme.

We are also very fortunate to be joined by our local 'Open the Book' team once a month who lead worship.

All acts of worship will include either the school prayer, Lord’s prayer or another prayer on the theme of the assembly.

In addition, children say a prayer at lunchtime to thank God for their food and at the end of the day to thank God for his many blessings on them.
