RE Intent at Shustoke C of E Primary School

At Shustoke, we deliver the Religious Education curriculum using the Warwickshire and Coventry agreed syllabus for Religious Education. Alongside this we use units from Understanding Christianity to further develop pupil’s understanding of key Christian themes.

We believe that it is vital for pupils to deepen their knowledge and understanding of world religions, to support their development as members of our diverse global community. Through RE lessons, pupils explore the religious beliefs, values and practices of other communities and cultures. We aim to engage, inspire and encourage our pupils to ask questions about the world and to reflect on their own beliefs and values.

Our Religious Education curriculum is enhanced further with trips to places of worship in our local area and school events such as our Christmas Carol concert, Nativity and Easter service.
